The residential mobile homes are assessed at their fair market value. The property tax is paid at the real estate rate. 

In Dinwiddie County, personal property tax applies to motor vehicles, campers, trailers, mobile homes, airplanes, business personal property, and boats. The property owner must file a personal property form with the Dinwiddie County’s Commissioner of Revenue within 30 days of acquiring the property or bringing it into the county. This is applicable to all the vehicles owned by businesses or individuals, whether titled in the state of Virginia or outside. 

Personal property taxes are due on the 5th of June and December. The property taxes may be paid online or you can make a check payable to the treasurer of the county and the payment can be sent to Treasurer’s Office.
